T-Mobile is offering the 7 for FREE with trade in of iPhone 6 or newer model. Much better than a $50 credit. Offer is good for new and existing customers.
No way. The deletion of the headphone jack is an absolute deal-killer for me. Not to mention that Apple seemed to do this in an attempt to drive sales at their new Beats line. This could be the one thing that drives me over to Android for my next smartphone purchase.
Bored by it. Removal of the headphone jack seals the deal. Easier to let time go by to fix the problems this will cause.
You’ll lose those AirPods. Wait for somebody to sell a “sports strap” that attaches to them and goes around your neck.
How will those AirPods work on a long flight? Five hours isn’t that long. In theory sounds like a 15 minute charge in the case will get you another 3 hours, but I’ll wait for reviews to hit and see how that works out in practice.
Perhaps a better option is to simply use headphones like before, only the lightning kind. But what if I need to charge the phone and use the headphone jack at the same time, as I do on airplanes constantly, in my car every day, and at night when I’m drifting off. Is there a lightning splitter? I don’t see one.
Etc etc. Personally I’ll be waiting at least one more generation before jumping. The waterproof thing is nice. Would have liked to hear more about the new glass and whether its any more shatterproof. The bump in storage is nice though way too long in coming. The better battery life, if true, would be appreciated.
Personally I’d rather have a plus with no bezel, more in line with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7, though without the exploding battery…
