News today comes that 2 more new American Express Centurion lounges to be built which is great news for cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, who can access all the Centurion Lounges for free! The 2 newest announced are Hong Kong International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport. In addition, the announcement also says that the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport lounge will be significantly expanded!

Great News! Amex Centurion Lounge Expansion

Per Forbes,

Today Amex announced the addition of two new locations, including the first ever built from scratch international Centurion Lounge, in Terminal 1 of the Hong Kong International Airport. The other will be in Terminal A West of the Philadelphia International Airport, and both are scheduled for the third quarter of this year. In the coming months, the existing Seattle-Tacoma International Airport lounge, which was the smallest, will be significantly expanded.

They opened their 6th lounge, the SEA Studio Centurion lounge a while back.  And the 7th, We told you last year about another new Centurion Lounge in Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (Terminal D.)

Who is eligible to visit The Centurion Lounge?

Access to The Centurion Lounge is complimentary for global Platinum Card® and Centurion® Members. To access The Centurion Lounge, the Card Member must present The Centurion Lounge agent with the following upon each visit: his or her valid Card, a boarding pass showing a confirmed reservation for same-day travel on any carrier and a government-issued I.D.

All other Card Members with a valid American Express® Credit or Charge Card are eligible to purchase access to the Lounge for $50 per day, subject to capacity. Terms Apply.

What is the guest policy?
Centurion® Members and Platinum Card® Members who receive complimentary access may enter with up to two guests or immediate family (spouse or domestic partner, and children under 18) at no additional charge.If you purchase a one-day pass, your children under 18 may accompany you at no additional charge. You must purchase a one-day pass for any additional guests

Bottom Line

One of my favorite perks of my Platinum Card from American Express is how it provides airport lounge access to the Amex Centurion Lounges, which Amex has been rapidly expanding. I love Amex Centurion Lounges; they are amazing! Houston is lucky to be getting this nice addition! I’m still pulling for them to open a Centurion Lounge in Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson! Terms Apply.
