Delta has been making several enhancements to their Delta Sky Clubs the past couple years by adding more food and more locations across their network. They’ve also made changes to their Sky Club pricing, and now have made Sky Club access a Choice Benefit for Diamond Medallions to choose from, rather than an automatic perk.

Their latest change is one that I think members will truly enjoy, as they’re adding a Fast Check-In option at select clubs including their JFK Terminal 4 Club.

Fast Check-In at the Sky Club is available for the following:

• Delta Sky Club Members
• Delta One Passengers
• Diamond Medallion Members

Essentially, when you look at the technology Delta uses to scan your boarding pass at the Sky Club, all four of these groups are indicated in each person’s SkyMiles account and boarding pass, meaning a quick scan of either your mobile or paper boarding pass is all that will be needed.

The reason American Express Platinum Card members aren’t able to use the Fast Check-In is because this isn’t linked to a member’s SkyMiles account, and requires a physical swipe of the credit card.

How To Get Sky Club Access:

There are many credit cards which provide access to the Delta SkyClubs including this one at JFK. As reminder both the American Express Platinum Card as well as the Business Platinum Card from American Express provide complimentary SkyClub access.

In addition, if you’re a Delta One passenger flying between New York (JFK) to Los Angeles or San Francisco you receive complimentary access.

Bottom Line

Nothing’s worst than waiting in a long line to get into an airport lounge, so cheers to Delta for adding this new Fast Check-In option at their busiest clubs.
