This time we bring you a tropical libation from the great St. Regis Bahia Beach trip we had a few weeks back. Upon check-in a few years ago, a rum fruit punch was offered. Not this time.

The St Regis has upped their game with this welcome amenity.

St Regis Bahia Beach Happy Hour

The new St Regis Bahia Beach Happy Hour is a Coconut Rum drink that is absolutely fantastic!

a glass with ice and a spoon in it
The welcome drink is served in a small glass on ice and consists of very simple ingredients:

  • Puerto Rican Coconut Rum
  • Coconut Water
  • Cinamon Sugar Rimmed Glass
  • Poured Over Ice

This sweet nectar will take you right to the beach and back.

We liked it so much, we’d even order it to the room for evening cocktails overlooking the ocean in our upgraded suite thanks to Lifetime Starwood Platinum Status upgrade to an ocean front suite.

Bottom Line

This St Regis Bahia Beach cocktail ranks among the best welcome amenities we’ve received. It’s sweet, refreshing and is locally influenced from this old coconut plantation property.

If you are short on elite status, consider the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from Amex which gives 5 elite qualifying nights, and 2 stay credits just for having the card. The Platinum Card from American Express offers complimentary annual SPG Gold status just for having the card, so that is something else to consider.

If you are looking for Marriott points, remember, Starpoints are valuable and made more so by the Marriott Starwood merger last year. You can transfer 1 Starpoints to 3 Marriott points. Consider Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express.
