This is new to me. I can’t remember ever actually grabbing a meat snack from the snack basket. But it’s there, the Delta meat snack coming to a snack basket on your next flight.

I’ve been one to keep up with Delta’s snacks in flight. Nothing better than a sweet, or salty or crunchy option when you are craving just the right snack at 35,000 feet.

Delta has certainly up’d their snack basket game in recent years. Lately, I’ve seen a lot of rotating snacks. Perhaps they are even testing out new snack options from time to time.

So I wasn’t surprised to see that there were new options on my current flight. But I must admit, a Delta meat snack did surprise me a little bit.

Delta Meat Snack

Delta’s Meat Snack in the basket consists of Oberto All Natural Original Beef Jerky.

The snack is packed with a whopping 310mg of Sodium, 13% of daily intake. But it comes in at only 60 calories. It is Gluten free if you have that going for you.

It says it’s made in the USA but the beef may come from one (or more) of the following countries including:

• United States
• Canada
• Australia
• New Zealand
• Uruguay

Next time you are on a Delta flight, check out the snack basket, it may surprise you in more ways than one.
