In addition, this card offers a free weekend night on your cardholder anniversary, as well as annual Hilton Gold Status just for having the card, which offers a ton of perks including breakfast, lounge access, room upgrades, complimentary internet, and late check-outs.

If you stay with Hilton a lot, you’ll want this card since you earn 12X points at Hilton properties, meaning your points will really start to rack up.

When it comes to redeeming Hilton points, they have several categories, ranging from 5,000 points to 95,000 points per night. 1. My understanding was that the free weekend night is offered only once on your 1st yr anniversary, not every year. Every blog has been talking about that …

  2. The free night applies to both this card and the Citi Hilton Reserve card. Spend 10K in a year and get a free weekend night. You could even get two to stack if saving one from one year and earning another from the current year. That night is good at any ‘standard rate’ place. There are a few places that do not ever have standard rates, but largely any Hilton property anywhere in the world will work. You could stack two of these to get a Friday and Saturday at a top tier Conrad or Waldorf Astoria regardless of price and walk away paying nothing. Considering that you’ve got at least Gold status, it’s likely to give an upgrade as well.

I just got this card and am happy with it. I’ve had the Citi version for years now, but this one offers a lower annual fee and has a higher earning rate and more categories.

One more thing to mention – if you book any Hilton property on Hilton’s web site and pay with this card, there is an automatic 500 bonus points per stay in addition to the 12x dollar spent and bonus points due to Gold status.
