The airline doesn’t say which airlines they’re matching from meaning it seems that as long as you have any sort of status on another carrier you should be matched. For those who took advantage of the JetBlue Status Match, you’d be able to use your newly acquired JetBlue Status and match to Southwest.
If you’re looking to extend the status through December 31, 2018, you’ll need to take three roundtrip flights by December 15 of this year.
Oh, and we’re not stopping there. Once you receive your A-List status match, fly three roundtrips (or six one-ways) by December 15, 2017, and we will extend your A-List status through December 31, 2018.
A List benefits include priority boarding, free same day standby, Fly By priority check-in and security, 25% earning bonus, and a dedicated phone line.

- Email your information: Provide the information requested in the email to find out if you qualify for this promotion.
- Extend your promotional A-List Status: Provided you qualify for this promotion, promotional A-List status can be extended through December 31, 2018 by simply flying three round trip qualifying flights or six one-way qualifying flights booked and flown between your enrollment date for this promotion and December 15, 2017.
Southwest Rapid Rewards A List status is normally earned after flying 25 qualifying one-way flights or earning 35,000 tier qualifying points, so you this is a generous offer to earn the status at a fraction of the usual requirements.
Technically, this is only for California residents, though I’m sure there will be those who will try to come up with a workaround on this.
