My Plan To Max Out Hyatt 44K Promotion

I’ve developed a plan to max out earning with the Hyatt Possibilities promotion. There are only about 9 more weeks to earn a qualifying stay and only about 5 weeks to register.

With the new promotion you can earn up to 44,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points by staying at a Hyatt Hotel from February 1, 2012 through April 30th, 2012. Each stay counts towards a new tiered bonus.

After reading how my friend Alex earned over 125,000 Hyatt points in 26 days, I got motivated to take another look at where I am with this promotion.

My Plan

I signed up for this promotion as soon as it was announced by Jeff Zidell. Currently, I’m sitting at 4 qualifying stays for this promotion, so I need 12 more stays to max out the bonuses. The 12 stay number also happens to be the Diamond status challenge threshold, so I plan to double dip with a Hyatt Diamond challenge as well since I was downgraded to Platinum for the first time in 5 years.

To get the 12 stays, I will stay at a variety of Hyatt’s including Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt and possibly a Grand Hyatt. My upcoming travel has me in at least two cities for each of the next several weeks. So if I earn at least 2 stays per week, I’ll max out the promotion with a few weeks to spare.

How To Register

You can register for the promotion through this link

Promotion Details

Earn a bonus for every four nights at a Hyatt

  • Stay 4 earn 4,000 points
  • Stay 8 earn 8,000 points
  • Stay 12 earn 12,000 points
  • Stay 16 earn 20,000 points

Bottom Line

I like point earning promotions because points can be banked and don’t expire like free award nights. I do prefer faster free nights because you can redeem for some top tier properties like the Park Hyatt Paris, but this promotion is a great way to bulk up on Hyatt point balances. Since I burned over 1,734,000 points and miles last year, my accounts can use all the help they can get.

Make sure you register by March 31, 2012.

  1. Hi James – Redeeming at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, Park Hyatt Paris, Hyatt Kuaui, Hyatt Aruba, Park Hyatt DC, and many more with ease.

Hi Simon – You can call Hyatt. But you will need to show proof of an equivalent top tier status.

  2. I’d like to do mattress runs at cheap Hyatts to get the bonuses and rack up stays toward keeping my Diamond status. Any ideas on how to search for search across all Hyatts for cheapest rate? and anyone know of any such hotels that will let you do a check in without showing up?
