Blogger and Engineer, Jonathan Corbett, contends he has exposed a major flaw in the TSA’s Billion dollar fleet of nude body scanners. His video testament on how he exposed the loophole has gone viral.

He claims to have taken a small metal object stitched to the side of his shirt through the nude-o-scope security scanner. He goes on to claim that the metal object, which is not attached to his body and is metal, blends in with the background and cannot be seen. With his video he claims he has discredited the nude-o-scope as a viable security protection mechanism. You can see for yourself in the videos below.

Bottom Line

This is the first time this has been exposed that I am aware. If this is true, it is unconscionable that TSA or others were not aware of this flaw or did not disclose it while continuing to spend tax payers dollars on the nude-o-scopes.

What do you think, is this real?

If it is real, I wonder if the TSA will continue to use the nude-o-scopes with the gaping flaw. One suggestion is to have the passenger go through the nude-o-scope doing the truffle shuffle. But that just might be a little too invasive.
