Crystal Clearwater – Best Beach Margarita Only 1 Mile From Hyatt

After our big day on the beach as a result of the awesome Hyatt Diamond breakfast and lunch, we set out in search of Clearwater Beach Florida’s best Margarita. We limited our search to restaurants and bars within 2 miles of the resort. The short radius limited our options but we found a gem of a Margarita at the one and only Island Way Grill of Clearwater Beach.

With a restaurant location only 1 mile from the resort, having an outdoor seating area, docks to park a boat, and a killer drink menu, the restaurant met all of our criteria.

Bottom Line

We were having an awesome time with family, catching up with friends at a wedding hosted at the Sandpearl hotel, and were being treated very well as a Hyatt Diamond guest. Definitely a good decision to visit Clearwater Beach, Florida.

In our final article from our trip report to Clearwater Beach, we’ll share a detailed review of our 2 bedroom suite we were upgraded to during our Hyatt stay using Hyatt Gold Passport points.

  1. This hotel is fine but not great. I am not necessarily a good use of points cuz right now rooms are pretty cheap.

Sandpearl (which I think you misidentified as Sandpiper, unless you mean the place in St Pete beach) is a much nicer hotel but only participates in the I prefer program.

  2. Hi SS Lover – The Sandpearl is correct(ed) and it is a nice hotel. But the Hyatt is nice too, especially when you get a two bedroom suite in exchange for points. I have plenty so I think the value exchange was reasonable during my visit given the prices then for the Sandpearl and Hyatt. The i Prefer program doesn’t look like it is easy to earn and redeem for free nights or if at all.

  3. Don’t get me wrong I prefer sux.

Point is that Hyatt is fine but Sandpearl is nicer.

Go to Frenchy’s Rockaway for she crab soup and Original Frenchy’s for fish spread. (It’s not as good as Ted Peters but its not bad.) Cajun grouper sandwich is good at both.

  4. You are right near the Clearwater marine aquarium…wonderful place that is the home of winter…the dolphin from the film dolphin tale. Highly recommend

  5. We had great drinks at Crabby Bills right by the traffic circle. Great food, drinks and service. We are looking forward to going back to Clearwater beach sometime. The town had it all from entertainment on the pier to great food and drinks!
