  1. Check-in at an airport with United Airlines using FourSquare and receive 50 miles. Do this every day for a year and you’ll have over 18,000 miles!

  2. JETSETTER has a flash sale of 70$ for 35$ credit with GROUNDLINK.COM’s mobile app. If there are 2 of you, it’s possible for one to “invite” the other to jetstter and get a 25$ credit, thus effectively being able to purchase 2 vouchers worth 140$ credit for just 45$ (35+35-25).
140$ is more than enough to get a roundtrip service from NYC’S airports to manhattan.

  3. You can download Dividend Miles Storefront assistant and you’ll earn 1 mile for every 3 searches you make with the StoreFront Assistant – up to 100 miles per month. Plus, earn 500 bonus miles when you download and shop before June 1, 2012.

Making a small purchase will net you minimum of 500+ miles.

  4. Collecting 100,000 email addresses for spamming from people posting here…

    Priceless!!!

  5. It may not be the most glamorous “deal”, but I like AA miles for upgrades from coach to business class to Latin America. Hard to find fare sales on those routes, so the $350 copay + 50K miles helps make more palatable the cost of a trip that would be anywhere in the range of $5K-$10K r/t in business class. I have had a good success rate in general in getting the upgrade.

  6. The Club Carlson points bonanza would be ideal for a stay at the Radisson Plaza in Tahiti!

  7. Save 50% on Abercrombie & Kent Egypt tours! An amazing deal for this luxury tour company! And the single supplement is waived on some tours. Use the extra $$ you save on the tour to pay for taxes and fees when you book your first class flight to Cairo using AA miles. Then get 10% back on those award miles for having the AA Citi card! No better time to head to Egypt!

  8. If you can travel in June, receive up to 2-for-1 cruise/cruisetour pricing plus up to FREE air with Viking River Cruises. Eight-day European river cruise from $2,556. Offer expires May 31, 2012.

  9. Using Citi points to book tickets where you earn points from to help reach status goals!! Sometimes it pays to actually PAY for your ticket:)

  10. Follow all the Boarding Area bloggers for the best deals & specials for any travel!

  11. Getting am AMEX plat was the best investment I ever made…..the card just keeps on giving!

  12. Scour all the travel booking sites prior or shortly after booming a hotel stay to ensure you booked the best rate. Many hotel chains will not only match the better rate, but offer bonus miles or a deeper discount.

  13. Use chase ink bold at office depot to buy $500 vanilla visa gift cards and get 5x Ultimate Rewards points (hat tip Frequent Miler blog)

  14. Buy (and sell later) Sears gift cards for 15x Southwest points through their shopping portal to boost Southwest balance towards the companion pass! Ends 5/23!

  15. Use the British Avios points to book on American, especially the domestic short trips. Promo still ongoing (i believe–50k BA points for a first purchase on a Chase Visa); well worth the award. Do not book flights on BA, however–very high fuel surcharges/taxes

  16. Getting the United Explorer card to get my miles up to 100k and book award trip to Hong Kong in Business Class. Ah, leg room!

  17. Use the club carlson signup bonus and stack the SOGO promotions to get 18,000 airline miles for less than $150. Start adding more accounts and a business class ticket can be extremely cheap.

  18. My best travel deal happened in 2002…and I’ve yet to beat it. Summer of 2002, I bought a round trip ticket on United from SCE to LHR. Paid about $650. Best part about the trip was that while connecting at IAD, I volunteered to get bumped off my original flight to LHR. The next flight was only 1.5 hours later. Compensating for the bump, I got $600 in travel vouchers, AND an upgrade to Business class on the outbound international leg. I was a poor college student at the time, and this episode effectively made my summer flight to Europe cost $50 round trip with one leg in Business!! SWEET!

  19. Sign up for Opinion Place, and receive 50-200 AAdvantage Miles for FREE if you qualify for, and fully complete a survey.

After you qualify for a survey, you have to wait 1 week to again be able to qualify again for another survey

  20. Even if you are not planning on using them, be sure to take advantage of different hotel programs free status offers (e.g. recent Visa Signature Hyatt Gold status). Once you have status with one hotel group you can ask other hotel groups to “status match”. By using this technique you can parlay a free offer in one reward program into elite status into a number of other programs. Most companies are generous when matching lower level statuses.

  21. Submit a travel tip and the best travel deal entered into the contest will receive 3,000 American Airlines. The miles will be deposited into their American Airlines account!

    Yay!

  22. My best deal recently was opening all three chase southwest credit cards at the same time. I was able to get 150k points and the companion pass all at once. I was even able to save my Marriott points rather than transfer at 30k to 10 k loss. Will beaning them for marriott cents with discount for platinums.

  23. I like the two browser trick for Citibank AAdvantage credit cards. You get two cards at the same time that earns 100,000 miles, plus $200 cash back, etc.

  24. Check out fatwallet.com they always have good post on deals on everything from travel to gadgets. Also today I found this great sight tht beats the system on foursquare. It’s called fourfree.com it give u unlocks for deals that might take days to achieve, foursquare does. It want u to know about this site but it’s great! Fourfree.com

  25. US AIrways off peak awards such as 35,000 miles in economy or 60,000 miles in business roundtrip to Europe. Take an additional 5,000 miles off if you have their credit card. Must fly US Airways metal.

  26. 15 AAdvantage miles (instead of 10) for each dollar donated to the USO through Miles in Support of All Who Serve program!

  27. Offer to buy flowers for office affairs…new babies, weddings, illness etc…use evreward.com to see whose offer is best and use a points/miles earning credit card

  28. The best deal is using skymiles to book international business class on partner airlines (low award level redemption) and rather than just booking a straight round trip, include layovers (up to 24 hours internationally), a stopover, and an open jaw. All these extra add-ons, done correctly, will not cost you any more than the straight round-trip. More travel, more cities, more fun – for the same miles as a round trip ticket!

  29. Buying everything from Amazon Via the Hawaiian airlines mall for miles, i placed over 150 orders last year, hawaii here i come.

  30. When booking Hilton stays search for HHonors specials which can reduce the points required per stay. You can sometimes reserve a premium room for less than a standard reward night.

  31. The best travel deal I see right now is the BA 100,000 offer – not the main one with a high minimum spend, but the one you can get after partially booking a flight on the BA website. 50K now and 50K after a year, with no minimum spend. $75 annual fee so $150 in all. Combine that with low-level redemptions on short haul flights and you’ve got yourself over ten free round-trips from NYC to beautiful Montreal or Toronto.

  32. Always check the Priority Club point breaks list before booking a hotel. You never know, you might get lucky and find that a hotel in the city to which you are traveling is on the list.

  33. My recent best travel deal was to read this blog and win a 10% off AA coupon.

  34. Watch Delta for regular flights that are usually sold out. Buy a ticket on the sold out flight, and when they offer a voucher to someone who will give up their seat because the flight is oversold, get a $300-$500 voucher. Use this on any flight you like!
