American Airlines set up a Facebook page called the “Tips Tab†and asked travel bloggers to contribute “expert tips” to the tab. Once our tip was up, we asked each of you to help us help you win 5,000 American Airline miles to give away. In return for posting tips, AA mentioned the top 5 tips from bloggers would be given 5,000 American Airlines miles to give away.
We were one of the winning blogs and have been awarded 5,000 American Airlines miles to give away in 1,000 increments. In addition, and this is something we were not aware of, it appears we’ve been given an additional 5,000 AA miles to deposit in “our” own account. Since this was never the intent of sharing any “expert tip” through the promotion, we’ve asked American Airlines if I can also give away the additional 5,000 American Airlines miles, for a total give away of 10,000 American Airline miles.
So to sum it up, we will definitely give away 5,000 American Airlines miles, and potentially another 5,000 American Airlines miles. We’ll keep you posted on how to participate.
In the mean time, please let us know how you’d like to see these miles given away to readers like you.

Great news….
AA got back to us and we are giving away 10,000 AA miles in 1,000 increments.
like the random draw. But I’m thinking of virtual scavenger hunt of sorts within this blog and twitter.
How about each day at a set time (same time for all drawings) we ask a question and ask you to answer in comment or tweet. The winner will be determined by random draw of course. Questions ranging from topics on this blog and / or about AA.
How does that sound. Are you still with me?
We could pose 10 different questions so you would have 10 different times you could win 1,000 miles. The number of entries would vary by day depending on readers or traffic sent to the site.
