Starting July 1, 2013, Qantas has announced they will offer complimentary Chauffeur service travelers in International First and Business on select US (Los Angeles & Dallas) to Australia routes as well as Dubai. But that is not where it stops. Apparently customers can get the Chauffeur service within Australia domestically as well, depending on the type of ticket.
According to Tocqueville Miles & Points, he was able to get the Chauffeur service added to four of his itineraries including:
- Noumea – Sydney – Melbourne (stopover)
- Melbourne – Cairns (stopover)
- Cairns – Sydney (stopover); then as noted
- Sydney – Dallas
The best part is he was on an American Oneworld Explorer Award ticket. To add the service he simply retrieved his Qantas record locator and plugged it into the ‘Manage Your Booking‘ section of the Qantas website to select his Chauffeur service. Bottom Line
The Qantas Chauffeur service is a great addition to an already premium product. But having the ability to add the service on intra-Australian segments is even better!
