I recently applied for the Chase Ink Plus card last week for the high 60,000 sign-up bonus, even though I already had the Chase Ink Bold card. At first, my application went into a pending state, but a few days later I received this email about my new account!

Comments

  1. We already have the Ink Plus (applied under my wife’s name), and I recently applied for the Ink Bold (using the same legitimate start-up business that my wife does on the side). Initially got the “pending” status too, and then called the Reconsideration line – and got DENIED. The guy asked me a ton of questions, all of which I answered honestly. Being a start-up, the business has only about $50 of revenue last year – which the guy said was the reason I was being denied, due to lack of sufficient revenue. I pushed back a little with some common-sense reasoning, but he didn’t have any of it. Bum-to the -mer.

  2. I heard Chase is getting tough these days with business applications with a lot of rejections which was totally unheard of before.

  3. Agree that this is a great card and a great offer, and I also have seen that Chase is getting tougher on the business card approvals.

I have the Ink as well as a few other Chase cards but when I applied for the Southwest Business card a few months ago I was denied and I couldn’t convince them. The reason they gave is that I had too many other Chase cards.

I applied for the same card a few months later and was eventually approved. One thing that I did is that I used a different business than the one that my Ink is under (I’m lucky in that I have several legitimate businesses)

I am planning on applying for the Ink this week for my wife. She only has one personal card and no business cards with Chase so we’ll see how it goes!

  4. I received my Ink Bold on April 1 but still have a few hundred $$ short of the $5K spending limit to qualify for the bonus. I emailed Chase about the extra 10K bonus and was told to contact them once I have reached the spending limit. Does anyone know if I need to reach the $5K spending limit before May 31 to qualify for the extra 10K points? Thanks!

  5. I already have 2 personal (United and Sapphire Preferred) and 1 business (Ink Bold credit card) with total credit line limit of $58K.

A week ago, I applied for Ink Bold charge card for the same business as Ink Bold credit card and got the “pending” status.

Next day I have called to follow-up on the status and spend over 30min on the phone. I had to provide additional information about my business and explain 9 credit card inquiries in the past 9 month. I explained inquiries as airlines and hotels cards with different travel benefits.

Also, I had to reduce credit line amounts on existing cards, but at the end I was approved for Ink Bold charge card with 60K bonus UR.

  6. Have existing Sapphire and JP Morgan Select personal cards. In late May, I applied for Ink Bold, was approved instantly online. 3 days later, applied for Ink Plus. Not instantly approved, called the reconsideration line, went through detailed 25-minute interview about my business, with very relevant and unbelievably detailed questions about my (investment property) business. Due to the previously approved Bold card, the rep said she would recommend approval, but only for a $5k credit line. A few days later, called the automated application status update line, which indicated application still pending. Called the reconsideration line again to check on status in person. Rep said the recommendation by the previous rep for approval was not approved by the superior. She volunteered to take another look. After 10-15 minutes on hold and a couple of follow-up questions, she approved the card for a $10k line, and I now have the card. Moral to the story, keep trying.

  7. I’m not sure exactly why but this site is loading
extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having
this problem or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later and see
    if the problem still exists.

I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much
    more useful than ever before.
