IMG_4784But what if there was an easy way to get more than one of them? Well. There is. And it’s a curse and it’s a blessing.  Through my not-so-scientific study, I have found a way to get an extra cookie (or even two.)  How?  You just politely ask for one!

This worked for me yesterday in the DoubleTree in San Jose, California.  After a late PM check-in, I decided that I wanted an AM cookie.  So I went to the check-in desk and asked politely if I could have a cookie.  And guess what – she gave me two cookies.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was.  And when I mentioned to a friend who lives in New York City, he said ‘oh I do that all the time’ when walking around the city, he would pop into a DoubleTree and politely ask for a cookie.  He has never been refused.

Bottom Line:

While I don’t advise randomly walking around cities, begging at DoubleTree hotels for free cookies, it is a generous perk that DoubleTree will give you an extra cookie.  In addition, you can order a tin at the front desk or have them delivered anywhere in the country by calling 1-800-916-0097 or ordering on line at DoubleTreeCookies.com

  1. I was at Doubletree today in Memphis, TN on Sanderlin and I stopped at the front desk to ask for a cookie and the white lady asked rudely if I had a dollar. I gave her all the change I had, maybe close to a dollar. Is that policy now?
