Yesterday JetBlue announced its 88th destination – Cleveland, Ohio.  It will launch a twice daily non-stop service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) on April 30, 2015. JetBlue Announces New Service to ClevelandJetBlue is selling an introductory one-way fare of  $19.51, a reference to the year that a Cleveland area DJ helped popularize the music, and the term rock ‘n’ roll to describe it.

The fare is available between April 30 and June 18, 2015, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays with no black out dates, but introductory fare tickets much be purchased by December 10, 2014.

JetBlue will be using its 100 seat Embraer 190 aircraft and will initially operate on the following schedule:

BOS – CLE

6:45 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. AND 4.10 p.m. – 6.15 p.m.

CLE – BOS

Details on the $19.51 fares from JetBlue:

Bottom Line:
This is good news for Cleveland.  The airport has been struggling with downsizing in wake of United announcing plans of cutting more than half their CLE flights in 2014. It’s also good news for Cleveland area travelers looking for onward connections with the 9:30 a.m. flight landing in BOS at 11:20 a.m., opening up the rest of JetBlue’s route network which is strong in Florida, and the Caribbean.  But act fast if you are looking for the $19.51 fares as its only available until 11:59 Eastern tomorrow night.
