With this promotion you can earn 4x (Quadruple) the normal base US Airways miles with qualifying Hertz Car Rentals.

But don’t forget that you can now combine your US Airways and American Airlines accounts. And that American Airlines is offering 6x miles with Hertz through August 31, 2015.

The normal base earnings are as follows:

  • Dividend Miles members can earn 50 base miles a day for rentals of 1 to 4 days.
  • Dividend Miles members can earn a 500 base for rentals of 5 days or more.

Dividend Miles members earn 50 base miles a day for rentals of 1 to 4 days and 500 base miles for rentals of 5 or more days. And now, you can earn quadruple Dividend Miles and save up to 35% when you rent with Hertz through June 30, 2015. Offer is valid on all vehicles and any length rental at participating airport and off airport locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

Modifying your reservation may result in a change in your rate and/or invalidate this offer. This offer has no cash value, may not be used with Pre-Pay Rates, Tour Rates or Insurance Replacement Rates and cannot be combined with any other certificate, voucher, offer or promotion. Offer valid at participating airport and off airport locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Hertz age, driver, credit and qualifying rate restrictions for the renting location apply. 5% Discount With American Express Open Benefits At Hertz

The OPEN savings benefit for eligible purchases at Hertz offers a straight 5% discount credited to your account. This is just another reminder of this great benefit from American Express OPEN.

I recently utilized the OPEN benefit with Hyatt and saved a lot of money! If you have any of the other Business cards with access to the OPEN program make sure you use them with Hertz for the 5% bonus including:

Bottom Line

This offer is valid through 6/30/15, so if you normally book your Hertz Rentals and credit your points / miles to US Airways, consider adding the 6X American Airlines promotion to your account which is good through August 31, 2015. For me, I’d rather earn 6x American Airlines than 4x US Airways miles.
