Starwood Hotels and Resorts have seven levels of hotel categories for members to redeem their Starpoints for free nights. Starwood’s second lowest category is a Category 2 property, which Starwood defines as full-service hotels and resorts in exciting destinations throughout the world.

You will need 3,000 Starpoints for a free weekend night and 4,000 Starpoints for a free night during the week at a Category 2 hotel.
