If you’d like to keep your status until January 31, 2016, just fly one trans-oceanic round trip in Delta One within the promotional period. We’ll also give you 15,000 bonus miles as a thank you.

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility: Only members who receive this communication directly from Delta Air Lines are eligible to participate in this offer. This offer is nontransferable. To be eligible for the status upgrade, a member must (i) register online by May 9, 2015, and (ii) not have received a status match or complimentary Medallion® status in the past.

Bonus Offer: If you meet the criteria to participate, you will receive Gold Medallion status and Delta Sky Club® access for two months (the “Promotional Periodâ€). The two months of Delta Sky Club Individual membership and your promotional qualification period will become effective on the date you register. The two months of Gold Medallion status are effective the day following your registration. In order to extend your Gold Medallion status and Delta Sky Club Individual membership after the two months, you’ll need to purchase and fly one qualifying, paid Delta Oneâ„¢ (fare classes J/C/D/I/Z) roundtrip transoceanic flight offering Delta One service during the Promotional Period. Delta One service is available on all long-haul international flights over 6 and ½ hours. Flights offering Delta One service may be modified by Delta at any time and without prior notice. Qualifying flight must be marketed and operated by Delta. Codeshare flights operated by carriers other than Delta are excluded from this offer. Only tickets purchased with a published fare that earns full mileage accrual will qualify. Upon completing a qualifying flight, your Medallion status and Delta Sky Club Individual membership will automatically be extended through January 31, 2016 and you will also receive 15,000 bonus miles (these bonus miles will not count towards Medallion or Million Miler status).

Validity Period: To participate in this offer, you must register by May 9, 2015. Enrollment ends 11:59:59 PM, U.S. CST, on 05/09/2015.

Bottom Line

It seems like almost every week Delta is offering some targeted promotion giving away either Silver, Gold, or Platinum Medallion status. If you are targeted for this and have upcoming plans to take a transoceanic flight in Delta One, then consider yourself Gold, otherwise for the rest of us, until next time.

  1. I read through the offer. I see this is targeted, but I don’t understand the comment that this is targeted towards New York flyers. Am I missing something?
