Last call if you were planning on applying for the increased sign up bonus of a $250 statement credit after you spend $5,000 on qualifying purchases on the SimplyCash® Business Card from American Express in the first 6 months. The SimplyCash® Business Card from American Express normally doesn’t come with a sign up bonus, so this is a great deal.  This card offers a generous 5% cash back on office supply stores (on first $50,000 spent),  3% cash back on a category of your choice giving the consumer a lot of flexibility in what they value most and OPEN Savings for no annual fee! Let’s take a look at my top 3 favorite benefits of this solid card. This offer has expired.

Top 3 Benefits AMEX SimplyCash® Business Card

My favorite 3 benefits:

1.) 5% cash back on office supply stores (on first $50,000 spent.)

2.) 3% cash back on a category of your choice

3.) OPEN Savings

Here’s how I use and value each of the above benefits:

1.) 5% cash back on office supply stores and U.S. wireless telephone services (on first $50,000 spent.)- Staples, Staples, Staples! I shop at Staples all the time and always put my purchases on this card to get the 5% cash back! You can see my favorite items to buy at Staples here.

2.) 3% cash back on a category of your choice – this option is great because it gives the consumer a lot of flexibility in what they value most. You can choose from:

  • Airfare (purchased directly from airlines)
  • Hotel stays (booked directly through the hotel)
  • Car rentals from eligible agencies
  • Gas stations (based in the US)
  • Restaurants (based in the US)
  • Select advertising (based in the US)

3.) OPEN Savings –The OPEN Savings benefit is built-in to all Business Cards from American Express OPEN. Business Card Members automatically get discounts of 5% or 2 additional Membership Rewards points for each eligible dollar spent when they use their Business Card for payment at participating OPEN Savings merchants, like Hyatt, Hertz, Fedex and more. This is a great way to earn even more!
