Delta may be devaluing their SkyMiles program, but this latest promotion is suppose to reward loyalty for some Platinum and Diamond Medallion members.
According to Delta Points and this Flyertalk thread, Delta is sending some surprise and delight gifts to select Diamond and Platinum Medallions.
The reports so far are for either a regional upgrade certificate, 2,500 SkyMiles, or 5,000 MQMs however you can not choose which gift you want, if you’re eligible you should receive an email from Delta of their choosing which will look like the following:

I think this is a nice gesture for Delta to be sending these out, but it doesn’t state what the criteria is. It’s not based on location and doesn’t appear to be based on if you’ve already re-qualified for Medallion status for the next year.

Yeah, so sue me, I had a typo in the thread title.
However, I’ll take the 2,500 Bonus miles. Would have preferred the 5,000 MQM. RUCs are worthless to me.
Can you please provide the promotion number/offer number for this Regional Upgrade?
Any chance of Delta extending the offer to those not originally targeted?
