One of the favorite past times for manufacture spenders the past year has been the ability to load Target REDcard with cash. However starting today October 13, 2015, Target REDcard will only be able to be loaded with cash.

Well this sweet spot may have come to an end, you’re still able to load WalMart’s Bluebird with Debit Cards still, so not all is over.

Here’s a rundown of the new policy:

Effective Oct. 13, cash is the only tender guests can use to reload select prepaid cards in store.

Target has made the decision to only allow cash reloads for this card. This decision aligns with other retailers who also only accept cash for reloadable prepaid cards.

Bottom Line

This is certainly a negative change for manufacture spenders, and I’ve personally enjoyed spending my time at Target the past year, but it looks like it’s back to WalMart for me.

  1. Thank you Redbird & Target! It’s a been a great year or so, getting $10-15K per month in manufactured spend! Oh well, on to the next thing……
