A slow Sunday morning, so I grabbed my coffee and computer to make a few hotel reservations. To my surprise the Hyatt website is down. I used to get 500 bonus points when a certain hotel website was down, and It’s funny now how we’ve gotten so used to booking online that this is a major inconvenience.

Hyatt Website Is Down

I pulled up the Hyatt website this morning to do a little maintenance of my own. I needed to book a few reservations and while I was at it, I was going to check and make sure all of my Diamond Amenity 1,000 point bonuses posted properly. Something you should certainly do, especially if you are a newly minted Diamond member through the Hyatt Diamond Free Giveaway.

I remember when we used to wait the customer service lines to get busy so we could get a 500 point bonus by booking through this SPG website.

Back in the day, you used to be able to book a full 4-5 months worth of hotel stays (mostly 1 night reservations) using this method and earn 500 bonus points for each reservation (stay) made through this site. I haven’t seen the site up in a while, but certainly keep a bookmark on the page just in case.

Bottom Line

Too bad the website is down, guess I’ll have to call into the Hyatt line and talk to an actual person. Maybe they’ll start offering a booking bonus on phone reservations when the website is down.
