As we’ve written about earlier, Starwood Preferred Guest had a contest called Open the World, where you could enter to win a bunch of prizes including Free Night Awards, Gift cards from Amazon.com and American Express, and Bonus Starpoints which ended September 30, 2015.

I had been playing every day and finally won a $50 Amazon.com Gift Card! Well, it turns out the gift card was just sent out, which was a nice surprise to recieve in the mail today.

The package was sent to me via FedEx in an envelope, so be on the look out if you also played this and are expecting to receive a prize.

Bottom Line

Congrats those who also won! If you are looking for an easier way to earn Starpoints, consider the Starwood Credit Card from American Express and the Starwood Business Credit Card.

Report back if you have received your winnings yet as well?

  1. I won one too, and was relieved to read your whole post!
From the beginning in the email, I feared the worst…

    Thanks, Enjoy!

  2. I got mine, too! I have to give you credit for my win. I wouldn’t have kept playing as much as I did had I not read your $50-win post.

  3. I won a $50 gift card. Didn’t see why they felt the need to send the package “air overnight” instead of ground, but whatever, I’ve now got a little shopping to do. Anyone reading this blog win one of the grand prizes?

  4. I got mine the other day – sent Fed Ex. Seems a little pricey of a method to ship, ground or regular mail would have been fine (not complaining about a free $50 though). Already loaded on Amazon!
