Why I Switched to the Amex Business Platinum Card

I’ve long had the The Platinum Card from American Express which has a ton of great perks ranging from lounge access to travel benefits and purchase protection, making this a card I’ve carried around for a long time until I finally decided that the only thing better than this card it’s brother the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express .

Airplane

The Business Platinum Card® from American Express offers all the great perks of the personal card however there are a couple added benefits making this card superior in my opinion.

35% Airline Bonus: Use Membership Rewards® Pay with Points for all or part of a flight with your selected qualifying airline, and you can get 35% of the points back, up to 500,000 bonus points per calendar year booked on amextravel.com.

Gogo and Boingo Internet: With the business card, not only go your enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi at Boingo hotspots, you get  10 Gogo inflight internet passes annually, meaning the next time you’re on a domestic flight you can stay connected.

In addition, this card offers all the great perks of the personal card, including some of my favorites listed below.

$200 Airline Fee Credit: Select a qualifying airline to get started. Then receive up to $200 in statement credits per calendar year when incidental fees, such as checked bags and in – flight refreshments, are charged by the airline to your Business Platinum Card Account.

Receive a statement credit every 5 years after you apply for Global Entry ($100) or TSA Pre✔ ($85) with an eligible Card. If approved, you can get expedited screening at select airports. If approved for Global Entry, at no additional charge, you will receive access to TSA Pre✔.

If you’ve been a loyal Amex Platinum cardholder, you may want to consider getting the business version for the added benefits.
