Last week, an American Airlines passenger was arrested after fighting with other passengers, when he was refused being served beer on one of their flights from Miami to Saint Croix by the flight crew.

He was charged with Interfering with flight crew attendants which faces up to 20 years in jail if convicted. This news comes not long after the American Airlines Passenger Raped on Redeye Flight, Offered 5K for “Troubleâ€

an airplane taking off from runway

Per the Dallas Business Journal,

According to witness statements, Felix was in the bathroom when a flight attendant heard what sounded like Felix dropping things and closing compartments. Thinking the passenger was having trouble unlocking the door, the flight attendant unlocked the door from the outside. Felix then relocked the door, the affidavit said.

After several minutes, Felix emerged from the bathroom and allegedly called the flight attendant a homophobic slur and went back to his seat. Later, as the flight attendant walked through the aisle, Felix requested a beer, the affidavit said, and the attendant refused his request.

Felix then allegedly climbed over the passenger sitting next to him to confront the attendant, and the male passenger he climbed over began to push and pull on each other, the affidavit said.

The other passenger said Felix spit blood at him, and investigators noted blood on the man’s shirt after the incident. The other passenger told investigators he was a law enforcement officer in Saint Croix and knew Felix from previous encounters.

Even once back in his seat, the passenger continued to make threatening statements to the flight attendants until the aircraft landed in Saint Croix, where the passenger was escorted off the plane by the police.

Perhaps, he should have chosen a seat in Main Cabin Extra, which will be rolling out with complimentary beer, wine, and spirits starting on June 5, 2018.

  1. Really? 20 years seems excessive! I can see being placed on a no-fly list, paying restitution, and probation would be more appropriate.

  2. Yeah, I guess you can kill someone and get a probation but fighting on a plane can get you in that kind of troubles. Totally excessive. He should be punished, no questions asked but not to 20 years in jail.

  3. Up to 20-years… it all depends on the severity of the infraction. Unless the passenger is HIV positive, spitting blood and pushing will not warrant the max sentence… I only mention that because of his homophobic slurs to the flight attendant… Strange

  4. Just because the STATUTORY limit for this infraction is 20 years that does not mean that this person would be given a 20 year sentence. If the sentence was a MANDATORY 20 years that would be considered by most to be excessive.

  5. 20 years is max which I doubt he will get. Je should be punished for causing such a threatening display in the air. The airlines staff and the customers on the plane were put in a very uncomfortable position.

  6. To tell you the truth I am homophobic also and wouldnt want some salami smuggling flight attendant serving me on my flight ,don’t know where he was the night before or what his fricking pervo homo hands and body were up to before getting on that flight, makes me sick to even look at them.

  7. This man repeatedly punched another passenger and was physically assaulting others. This was not a simple verbal exchange. I hope they lock this guy up.
