This Week’s Question:

If you were a flight attendant, Would You Rather have short layovers in amazing destinations, or long layovers in less than desirable locations?

An example: One US Airline flies to Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA), and has a 36 hour in Bentonville, Arkansas at the 21C Museum Hotel. This charming layover allows crews to relax, however don’t expect too much sightseeing.

Alternatively, another carrier lays over in the picturesque island of Bermuda at the Fairmont Southhampton. This is a dream destination for many travelers, however the crew is here for 13 hours, barely enough time to catch some sleep and stroll on the beach.

  1. Good idea for a series and – as typical – people who contribute absolutely nothing to the conversation were the first to respond. I’d go for the long layover in XNA, if only to check out the “incredible” food options (though I’m fairly sure Bermuda has good food, too) and to relax.

  2. I’d rather have a short layover in an amazing destination. I’d make the most of the time there, whether it’s exploring the city late at night or early in the morning.
