United Airlines Announces Several New Domestic Routes

United Airlines announced several new domestic routes across several of six of their U.S. hubs. Highlights include new service to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; Newark to Anchorage, Alaska; as well as expanding their network out of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Per United,

United Airlines today announced it is continuing to strengthen its domestic route network by offering more ways for customers to connect to 22 destinations from six of its U.S. hubs. The airline also announced it will begin nonstop service to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, from Chicago, New York/Newark and Washington, D.C. With the new service, United will offer more nonstop service from more cities to Hilton Head Island than any other airline. Tickets are available now for purchase.

Beginning June 6, 2019, United will begin nonstop service between San Francisco and Columbus, Ohio. From its hub at Los Angeles International Airport, United will begin nonstop service to Eugene, Oregon; Madison, Wisconsin; and Pasco/Tri-Cities, Washington, beginning March 31, 2019.

Beginning April 6, 2019, United will begin nonstop weekend service between Chicago O’Hare and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. United is the only airline offering nonstop service between Chicago and Hilton Head Island.

It’s exciting to see United add these new routes to their network, however time will tell how feasible some of these new ones will be and whether they’ll make a return for a second season. Additionally, It’s likely we’ll see Delta and American announce adjustments to their 2019 schedule in the coming days/weeks as well.

On the international front, United recently announced United Airlines Announces New Service to Prague, Amsterdam, and the Amalfi Coast and United Airlines Adds Washington, D.C. to Tel Aviv (TLV) Service.
