Delta has announced some exciting news when its comes to their Caribbean service as the airline will be expanding service on several routes from both their hubs at Detroit’s Metropolitan Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Delta will be adding a third daily flight from New York (JFK) to Cancun International Airport (CUN) in Mexico from January through March, effective January 6, 2020. Additionally, starting Dec. 21, Delta will expand its Saturday-only service to winter seasonal daily flights, between Detroit and Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), as well as to Punta Cana (PUJ)

Per Delta,

Delta will add a third daily seasonal flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Cancun International Airport (CUN) in Mexico January through March, effective January 6, 2020.

The flight is operated on a 180-passenger Boeing 737-900 (739) with 20 seats in First Class, 21 Comfort + seats and 139 Main Cabin seats. Travelers can start booking tickets on April 27.

This winter, traveling from Detroit to two iconic destinations in the Caribbean will become much easier​. Starting Dec. 21, the airline will expand its Saturday-only service to winter seasonal daily flights, offering more connectivity between its Detroit’s Metropolitan Airport hub and Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica, as well as to Punta Cana International Airport in the Dominican Republic.

Both routes will operate with the 180-passenger Boeing 737-900 (739) with 20 seats in First Class, 21 Comfort + seats and 139 Main Cabin seats. Ticket sales for both routes will open on May 11.
