We’ve shared how Le Parker Meridien New York and Palm Springs Leaving Starwood, as the Parker Meridien is now the Parker, managed by Hyatt Hotels. As a result of this, it meant that the Le Meridien brand was no longer represented in New York City, however that all has changed.
The former Viceroy New York, is now the new Le Méridien New York, Central Park which opens this weekend it’s currently a Marriott Category 5 property, meaning free nights are 35,000 points per night. This is likely going to be increased to a higher category, so if you’re interested, be sure to redeem sooner than later.

I’m pleased to hear that there’s a new Le Méridien option in New York City, and think this hotel will do quite well under new management.
As it’s currently a Category 5, it’s a great deal if you’re looking to redeem Marriott Bonvoy points to stay here, as rates are going in the $400-$500’s for some nights. I suspect it will increase to a Category 6 in the coming months, so I’d get in on this redemption before an increase occurs.
