Ordering Groceries To Park Hyatt Beaver Creek

There are 2 grocery stores that will deliver to the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. We had planned to order some groceries including diapers to save on space in our luggage. I had hoped to use Instacart with I already had an account set up with and who offered both City Market and the Safeway Grocery options. But, upon arrival to the hotel Instacart was already booked for the entire day meaning that the first offering for delivered groceries was the following day. That didn’t work great as we needed diapers. So, we ended up signing up for City Market’s delivery service which offered delivery for $9.95 for a 2 hour window.

Here is my experience with that.

First you have to sign up for an account with City Market which was pretty simple except that if asks you to  enter your value card number (which I didn’t have) or create an alternate ID. If you try to use 1234567890 like I did at first, it won’t give you an error, it will just make you enter the info all over. So, here is a PRO tip, use a more complicated number. After you have your account, you can start adding items to be delivered similar to using Instacart. Overall the process worked ok. The website was not as user friendly as Instacart’s as I mentioned above. And the groceries ended up being delivered 2 hours after the 2 hour delivery window. There was no easy way to contact your delivery person, that I found and items that were out of stock were subbed for the next best item (without your two sense,) which was a little annoying but, overall it worked out ok.

We didn’t have to stop on the way in or have a rental car to accomplish getting diapers, water and snacks delivered to the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.

If I had to do it again and I knew what I wanted/needed, I would have pre-scheduled Instacart delivery for check in/arrival time and had a more user friendly experience as Instacart allows you to chat with shoppers and pick your acceptable substitute items. This would have been really nice especially since with this order, I had ordered fresh strawberries and was delivered a bag of frozen ones.

Again, overall I would order groceries to be delivered again. At the time of this post Amazon Fresh was not offering delivery to Avon. It’s helpful to not have to waste your vacation running around looking for groceries and hauling them in the snow when you can pay $9.95 plus tip (optional) to have someone else do so for you.

Unfortunately, neither City Market delivery nor Instacart delivery offer alcohol delivery so, that is something I will cover in another post.

Bottom Line

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is an awesome spot and a great place to use Hyatt points. We had a mini fridge in our Suite so that is great for keeping groceries cold. I will review the hotel and amenities in another post.
