Located on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas, you’ll find the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, which is one of three resorts part of Baha Mar, with the others being SLS Baha Mar and the Rosewood Baha Mar.

The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar has 1800 rooms including 230 suites and residences and is a World of Hyatt Category 5 property, meaning free night awards start at 20,000 points per night. Having previously stayed here, I was eager to return post-hurricane to see the property again.

As a Hyatt Globalist, I received an upgrade to a One-Bedroom Ocean View Residence Deluxe in the West Tower. The property has two towers the East and West Tower, and it seems that World of Hyatt members are typically placed in the West Tower, which is where the Grand Club is located.

As a Hyatt Globalist, the property reached out about a week before my arrival asking for my arrival time, and even sent a welcome amenity!

Bottom Line

This was my third stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, and overall I was very pleased with the resort and service from the staff especially in the Grand Club and the guest relations team. It seems like this property really tries to please World of Hyatt members including Globalists and it shows.

The Grand Club offers a full breakfast spread each morning, as well as evening appetizers and beer, wine, and mixed drinks each night from 5pm-8pm.

The hotel is a quick 15 minute ride from Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport, making it very easy to get to.

If you’re looking to stay here, you may want to consider redeeming World of Hyatt points, as you you’ll be exempt from the hotel’s nightly resort fee.

  1. If this is your 3rd stay I would think you would see how the downgrade the club since it opened and how they really care only for the Instagram posting guest. The hard product is awesome but service, food and casino is a joke for mid level gamblers.

  2. Does the Grand Club included when you book a one bedroom ocean view deluxe on the west tower? Thanks

  3. Hi! I know this post is older, but I cannot find any information on what is in the kitchen. I would like to bring some food to keep on hand but would love to know if there’s cookware like a frying pan and spatulas? A blender? If you remember or could possibly respond I would so appreciate it.
