I recently shared how I was Embarking on the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Challenge, where I’d need to stay 16 nights within 90 days of enrolling to earn Marriott Platinum Elite Status. As I was mattress running in New York City, my next stop was the new Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West.

This property is located near the new Hudson Yards and features 399 guest rooms and is a Marriott Category 5 property with free night awards starting at 35,000 points per night for a standard award.

As a Gold Elite member, I was welcomed by the front desk agent, however my status wasn’t acknowledged in any sort of way. I was assigned a King Guest Room which I booked on the 15th floor. The hotel overall was very quiet, which I suspect is due to it recently opened.

Bottom Line

As I haven’t stayed at a Courtyard by Marriott in a while, I was interested to see how this brand has evolved. Overall, I was pleased with the new property and it appears that’s it one of the larger Courtyards in the area with nearly 400 guest rooms.

The hotel is located near Hudson Yards, which offers lots of shopping and restaurants, however as it’s over in Midtown West, it is a good hike to get over to 5th Avenue.
