Four Seasons New York Offering Free Rooms for Medical Workers

The Four Seasons New York announced they’ll be offering free rooms for medical workers during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The hotel is closed to the public through April 15, 2020 currently, however decided to offer their rooms for those who are helping fight the pandemic as a way to due their part.

This is a great initiative by the Four Seasons New York, and I hope other hotels that are currently closed consider doing.

Per the New York Post,

Doctors, nurses and other medical personnel battling the coronavirus pandemic can stay free of charge at the five-star Four Seasons New York on the ultra-exclusive stretch of 57th Street, the hotel announced Wednesday.

“Our health care workers are working tirelessly on the front lines of this crisis,†Ty Warner, the founder and chairman of Ty Warner Hotels and Resorts, which owns the Four Seasons, said in a statement.

“Many of those working in New York City have to travel long distances to and from their homes after putting in 18-hour days,†he said in a statement. “They need a place close to work where they can rest and regenerate. I heard Governor Cuomo’s call to action during one of his press conferences, and there was no other option for us but do whatever we could to help.â€

The website lists the following advisory: The health and safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution related to the evolving COVID-19 situation, Four Seasons Hotel New York will temporarily close on Friday, March 20, 2020 and will not be taking new reservations until April 15, 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding during this time.
