Lounge Review: PGA MSP Lounge

Priority Pass has been adding more restaurant and experiences to their list that aren’t traditional airport lounges. You’ll find the PGA MSP Lounge at Teminal 1 at Minneapolis- St. Paul International Airport. Located between Concourses D and E, it’s open daily from 11am-8pm.

If you’re looking to visit a golf simulator on your layover for either some range shots or even play a round, then look no further. The lounge has a couple simulators and a putting free. The lounge provides clubs as well, so don’t worry if you’ve checked your clubs.

Essentially each cardholder receives a $15 credit per visit for golf or food. The cheapest golf option is 15 minutes for $20, meaning it will still cost you $5 plus tax to use the golf simulator.

Per Priority Pass,

  • Cardholders can use their lounge visit entitlement to access the PGA MSP Lounge. Each visit represents a single lounge visit within the Cardholder’s existing lounge visit allocation for which the Cardholder will, where applicable, be charged. In addition, Cardholders and any registered guests will receive US$15 per person off their food OR golf experience bill, which cannot be combined across both.
  • US$15 is valid for the purchase of any meal and/or drinks or a golf experience. To be eligible, Cardholders must present a valid card before placing an order or selecting their golf experience.
  • US$15 is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for a cash substitute or refund if the final bill is lower than US$15 per person.
  • The Cardholder is responsible for the remaining balance if total bill exceeds US$15 per registered person. Any remaining balance cannot be used towards gratuity.

Bottom Line

The PGA MSP Lounge is a great lounge in MSP if you’re looking to hit some shots on your layover. It’s located in Terminal 1, home to most airlines including Delta, United, and American, so if you’re just passing through chances are you’ll be walking by it anyways.

The only negative is that as a Priority Pass cardholder you still have to pay a minimum of $5 to use a simulator for 15 mins, as you only receive a $15 credit, and the cheapest simulator option is $20. You could also use your credit towards food, but not both but on this visit, I didn’t have anything to eat or drink.

There are many credit cards that offer Priority Pass as a benefit including both The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express.
