Good morning from beautiful Beaver Creek!  Having just experienced an incredible city hotel in the Park Hyatt Tokyo, I decided to switch things up this weekend and try out the ski resort lifestyle.  Back in January, I blogged about a big time Hyatt award redemption close to home.  I went ahead and booked a room at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek at that time.  The stay has been wonderful which I will write up a hotel review soon, but most importantly, I made good use of the Hyatt Diamond breakfast amenity this morning.  As I checked in last night, the front desk associate described the Diamond breakfast benefit as being able to take breakfast in the café, restaurant or room service. Charge any selections, tax, and gratuity to the room and we will remove ALL the charges.  Call me sadistic, but her strong emphasis on ALL had me immediately wondering what would happen if I tipped $100,000 to the young lady delivering this room service breakfast.  I could wipe out her college loans right then and there!

All things equal, I will always take the room service option.  While I would never pay 70 dollars of my own money for a pancake and coffee breakfast, it is sometimes fun to enjoy things you normally wouldn’t be able to afford through the power of points and miles.  Thank you Hyatt!
