You can’t always have the seat you want as was the case with this flight. Ended up in the last row of First Class instead of my preferred First Class seat, #firstclassproblems.

The flight started off great with a visit to the Sky Club and some fresh coffees along with a bagel. The dishwasher was broken so the team improvised with to-go cups which worked out just fine since I was able to take a large cup of coffee with me to the plane.

The upgrade cleared at the gate lottery so I took what I could get, the last row in First Class, a favorite for some. I do really enjoy the recline as soon as Imm seated.

We pushed back a little late due to catering but only by about 15 minutes.

Last Row In 757 Delta First Class

The last row in First class on this Delta 757 was great as was the service. But I still prefer the up front seats in First Class for a short flight. Drinks in the last row were served as we were approaching our initial descent into our destination, a First class problem for sure.

  1. I actually wrote about something similar in regards to last row of first class, specifically the right side or seats C and D. I fly AUA-JFK twice a month to visit my girlfriend and I get my upgrade 90% of the time and for that I am thankful, but the past three times in a row, by the time the FA gets to my row to take lunch/dinner orders, they are all out of one of the dinner selections thus leaving us with a pasta selection. Now again I repeat I am thankful for my upgrade, so I will just leave it at that, but just an observation.

  2. This story goes back a long time but is an interesting take on sitting in the last row of First Class. Very early in my working life, 1977, I flew SFO – JFK on Pan Am, and through a very crafty travel agent I was placed in First Class. I go to my row, the last against the bulk head, and took the aisle seat. Next to me reading a book and leaning against the window was a very famous film and television personality. I introduced myself and asked if he wanted to sit on the aisle. The response made sense and goes completely against the media-seeking “stars” of today, “Thanks, but I prefer sitting here as I don’t draw attention and can relax.” Made sense, and while I too like reclining if you want to blend in, go for the window seat against the bulk head.
