This could be your chance as Delta is accepting applications over the next few days for the position of Flight Attendant. The interviews will start in September to fill 8-week paid training classes in Atlanta starting in January 2015.Delta is looking to fill positions with ‘no bilingual speaking skills‘, in addition to those with Spanish, Mandarin, Dutch, Hindi and French speaking skills.
The hiring page also includes a slick 5 minute ‘Flight Attendant Job Preview’ with likable and positive Flight Attendants discussing the most negative aspects of the job – working long hours, nights, weekends and holidays, commuting, and being junior. The Flight Attendants also tell you that your home life will be difficult and your personal life will suffer. Oh, and they also tell you that they love people, they love to travel and they will do just about anything for the job.
Bottom Line:
This is the ultimate travel job if you want to ditch your Monday thru Friday 9-to-5 job, but be prepared to pay with your nights, weekends, holidays, sleep schedule and perhaps your sanity. It never hurts to apply, and it’s never to late to apply as long as you get your application in over the next few days.
Does this mean DL is considering a n/s to DEL or BOM or MAA? That would be awesome to compete with UA’s DEL and BOM, especially since AA dropped ORD-DEL.
@HansGolden DL probably needs Hindi speaking F/A’s to cover their existing AMS-BOM route. I doubt we’ll see DEL on DL metal. Also the language at MAA is not Hindi…it’s Tamil.
Delta flies to points beyond AMS? Are you sure it’s not a codeshare?
I wonder what the chance is of being accepted. It sounds interesting.
