We’ve previously written about the Delta Reserve American Express card here. This card is best for a Delta traveler who flies Delta a lot, since the main perk of this card is Delta SkyClub access. In addition to SkyClub access for yourself, this card offers priority boarding and the domestic first class or economy companion ticket and the opportunity to earn 30,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles each year.

With this card, you can earn 15,000 bonus miles plus 15,000 MQMs after you spend $30,000 each year, and another 15,000 bonus miles plus 15,000 MQMs after you spend $60,000 in a year. If you’re a big Delta flyer, this is the card for you.

  1. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe the Platinum card allows first class companion ticket. Think it’s a Reserve Card feature only.

  2. Geoff is accurate. The Platinum card offers a companion economy ticket only at each card renewal. The Reserve card offers a companion ticket that could be used in economy or first class at each card renewal.
