Bottom Line
I’m excited to see this game launched by Starbucks, and plan to either enter at Starbucks or by just requesting game pieces online. For those who are Starbucks fans, be sure to check out how you can Score a $15 Starbucks Gift Card For Only $10.
I agree on the appeal of this contest. Unfortunately I have been surprised and disappointed by Starbucks’ uncharacteristically poor administration (along with its contest vendor) on this one. Despite numerous email exchanges with the big S customer service people, who are delightful, the contest screens are buggy and often inform me I’m not eligible to participate, even after sending me emails or crediting me with online “plays.” One of the reps said they knew of a location-based issue that they thought was being resolved by the vendor, but just to keep trying to participate. I did so about a dozen times both through in-store purchases and the no-purchase option. Same results, and none of the usual Starbucks willingness to intervene to make it right.
I hope others have a better experience. Maybe it’s just me.
This is the typical contest where you will eventually fill in all but one symbol in each row. So close, yet so far (like almost everyone else who plays). I have played since the beginning. With dozens of entries I have won exactly 2 bonus stars. I value those at about 50 cents each, so do the math to see if it’s worth your time.
