On a recent trip back to New York from Washington DC, I decided to stop in the JFK SkyClub at Terminal 4, which I’ve been to before, to relax and grab some food before my flight. I was able to access this club using one of my favorite perks with my American Express Platinum Card which is Delta SkyClub access.
As I had arrived off a 45 minute that didn’t serve any food or drinks at all, I was starving and headed straight to this premium SkyClub, which had an expansive options of food items for lunch.
Despite it being lunch time, the SkyClub was relatively quiet, (meaning people wouldn’t stare at me as I take pictures of each item)
The first area was the build your own soup bar where you choose a broth (vegetable or chicken broth) then can add in chicken and several other toppings.
Next up was the veggie bar serving celery, carrots, cucumbers, and cherry heirloom tomatoes.
Other cold items included traditional style hummus, butternut yellow squash, shredded carrots, and a salad mix.
Continuing on there was chipotle red quinoa salad, an assortment of cheeses, and a vegetarian bulgar wheat salad.
Moving on to the hot food there were several selections including yellow rice
roasted peppers and onions
spanish style braised chic peas with smoked paprika
Grilled chicken slices
Stir-fried vegetarian rice noodles
And even salsa verde and chips!
There was also pita chips, popcorn, and cookies
And a new addition to the desserts of tres leches cake.
How To Get Access:
There are many credit cards which provide access to the Delta SkyClubs including this one at JFK. As reminder both the American Express Platinum Card as well as the Business Platinum Card from American Express OPEN provide complimentary SkyClub access. Terms Apply.
In addition, if you’re a Delta One passenger flying between New York (JFK) to Los Angeles or San Francisco you receive complimentary access.
Bottom Line
When it come to food at Delta Sky Clubs, Delta has really upped their game with the food selections in the SkyClubs. I recently had the chance to experience the new food offerings at the SFO SkyClub, however JFK compares to me even more of a feast!
