Fast Track to Starwood Gold and Platinum Status

For those looking for a fast-track to Starwood Gold or Starwood Platinum status, you’ll want to check out the Starwood Status Challenge, which allows SPG members to earn elite status at a fraction of the normal nights required. The great thing with this challenge is that you can sign up now through June 30, 2018.

Unlike other hotel challenges, you do not need to have elite status with another hotel chain to be eligible. Anyone who has in interest in getting SPG status, who hasn’t done the challenge in the past nor who has earned the status in the past 5 years is allowed to sign-up.

SPG Gold Challenge: Stay 9 nights (typically 25 in a calendar year)

  • Are an SPG® Preferred member.
  • Have not held SPG Gold or Platinum status in the last five years.
  • Have not previously completed a Status Challenge promotion.

SPG Platinum Challenge: Stay 18 nights (typically 50 in a calendar year)

  • Are an SPG Preferred or Gold member.
  • Have not held SPG Platinum status in the last five years.
  • Have not previously completed a Status Challenge promotion.

Simply contact SPG Customer Care to register and validate eligibility. Then select your three-month challenge period and start earning at any of the 1,500 participating SPG hotels and resorts.

Remember once you earn Starwood status, you can then match your status to the same level in the Marriott Rewards program.
