This is a brief update on our trip to French Polynesia.  A few weeks ago I posted a demonstration on how to redeem Delta miles for business class tickets to Tahiti with Delta and Air France.  We are currently in the South Pacific and are leaving Moorea for the next stop so I thought I’d post a quick update.

Last week we flew out of ATL to LAX on a Delta 767 then to PPT on an Air France 777.  We stopped over in LAX for 24 hours and stayed at the Andaz West Hollywood.  The hotel was not very convenient to the airport, only about 20 miles from LAX but still quit a drive in LA traffic.  We hung out by the pool and checked out the Bliss spa at the W hotel.  We got in on the Delta Spafinder.com deal before it went dead and used the certificates at the Bliss Los Angeles spa before our long 9 hour flight down to PPT.  In addition to the Wonderful time at the Bliss spa we’ll add about 20,000 Delta miles from the promotion.

When we got to Papeete at 3:30 in the Am we refreshed then headed over to the Ferry docks to catch the Aremiti Ferry to Moorea for a several night stay at the Hilton.  As a Gold member we were upgraded to an over the water bungalow and had free breakfast for our entire stay.

We an upcoming 7 night leg of the trip then it will be back to Papeete for 1 night before heading back ATL. Keep an eye out for the detailed trip report.
