It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day. The Sky Deck is open before the sun comes up and it isn’t busy. That’s good news if you prefer to have the place to yourself.
My upgraded Delta flight to Tampa was departing out of the F Concourse so I headed to the newest Sky Club in the Atlanta airport. The bartenders were stacking glasses and getting ready for the day. After seeing the Champagne I thought a mimosa would be a great way to start the day. Afterall, I heard the Hyatt I’m checking into was serving Champagne at check-in.
The Sky Deck is just great, even on a cool day, and especially when you have the place to yourself.
Not surprisingly, there was a lot of activity on the ground. In the short time I was on the Sky Deck, a 757 and a 767-400 (N828MH from GRU) rolled up to their gates.
Bottom Line
The Sky Club in Atlana’s F concourse has a nice Sky Deck where you can enjoy an outside space on the Sky Deck. If you get there early enough, you may just have the place to yourself.

For those that love the smell of kerosene in the morning.
Hi NYBanker – You’ve been pretty negative on the Sky Deck idea since it came out. Have you actually been inside either of the two Sky Decks yet, what was your experience?
Having been to the SkyClub Deck a few time I have never had an issue with any unusual smells for the tarmac in the vicinity.
