I love picking up gift cards at Kroger because you can save a bundle with the fuel points program. But when they are offering $5 off a purchase of $50 or more on Visa or MasterCard purchases it becomes an even better deal. But you’ll have to hurry, the promotion ends on July 15, 2014.
Pay close attention to the terms and conditions. This offer excludes variable load gift cards.
That definitely limits some gift cards but their selection is pretty large so I’m sure you can find something that works for $5 off a purchase of $50 or more.

I’ve been getting the $5 coupon for buying a VGC!
Just curious, what state are people in that they are getting fuel points for Visa gift cards? They stopped awarding me any points for Visa gift cards a month or two ago.
Didn’t work for me at a kroger in Texas.
I’ve been racking up these $5 coupons on VGCs also. Be sure to purchase one at a time to get 1:1. Also I found out it will only spit out a coupon once per Kroger Plus account, so I stopped using my card. Are these coupons stackable or only one per transaction?
The terms of the offer are not actually true in reality. You only need to buy 1 gift card at Kroger/Ralphs and you get the $5 off coupon. I have been successful buying 1 gift card at least 10 times and receiving the coupon 10 times. The promo should work at other Kroger chain grocery stores, but YMMV (as always).
