A stone’s throw from the racing tracks at Keeneland you’ll find the convenient Bluegrass airport which offers non-stop service to 15 regional airports.
There aren’t many dining options, but they have recently added some additional food options inside of security. The airport is small with only two terminals for all intents and purposes. So if you are looking for a nice place to relax, you won’t have to look far.
On our last trip to the airport, we noticed The Club at Blue Grass and decided to take a look.
The entrance to the club is located near gate B2. You can’t miss this place. The club is  open Monday – Friday from 5 am through 7:30 pm. Then on Saturday – Sunday it is open from 9 am through 5 pm. Members of the American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and US Airways clubs can gain access for free while other passengers may gain access for a low fee of a $10 daily fee. Not a bad price for a day visit.Â
You’ll arrive in the lobby after a quick walk up the stairs to the third floor. The front desk is located to the left and there are plenty of rooms and seating to find for a comfy spot to rest.
We grabbed a few seats near the window with a view of the flat-screen tv to catch up on the game before our departure.Â
There are business cubes for working and a small area with high top tables.
The snack area is good but not great. It has a few refrigerators with cold beverages and a little coffee machine.
One thing that surprised me is they have a full on meeting room in the lounge. It appeared to be wide open that day with no one around.
Bottom Line
The Club at Blue Grass is a convenient place to rest when visiting the Bluegrass airport in Lexington, Kentucky. For only a $10 fee you can access the lounge or gain entry through your airline club access.
Being based out of CVG, I often look out of LEX when I’m planning a trip but haven’t yet been down there for the airport. Thanks for the review!
My home airport!
