According to the FAA, New York’s LaGuardia (LGA) airport is closed until 6:59pm tonight due to an ‘AIRCRAFT INCIDENT’ this morning at 11:09am.

According to the New York Daily News:

A plane landing at LaGuardia Airport skidded off a snowy runway and slammed into a fence, officials and witnesses said Thursday.

Delta Flight 1086 from Atlanta touched down at the Queens airport just after 11 a.m. when it began to swerve, witnesses said.

“While waiting to fly, I just watched a plane unsuccessfully land/takeoff?†tweeted witness Michael Moritz. “(It) swerved off the runway. Hoping everyone is safe.â€

An FDNY spokesman confirmed that the plane skidded off the runway. No injuries were reported, the spokesman said.
