We spent some time over the holidays at the The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico. We stayed about a week and brought the kids along with us. We had a magical stay! We had been to this property before pre-kids and were hoping that we would like it as much this time and we definitely did! I will break this review up into different posts. This one, where I will review the room and the value of points that I used to book and another post where I will review all the amenities and activities that we used while there.
St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort Trip Report
Booking The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico
I used points for our stay, we got the 5th night free of course and then used points for the other day. This was going for 30k points/night when I booked, so with the 5th night free, it was 150k points for 6 nights. This was a pretty good value of on points, since the rooms were going for $899/night for a regular room. We were upgraded to a beachfront suite halfway through our trip, which was obviously much more expensive then that. So, my redemption value on the points at a minimum was .036/point and probably much better then that because of the suite upgrade. Where this resort kinda gets you is that they charge a $75/resort fee and a $22 mandatory valet parking (if you have a car) charge so that really adds up quick. They did offer me $15 off the resort fee daily because I am a Platinum member.
We chose to rent a car because the cost was less then a 2 way transfer set up by the hotel and then we were able to make a run to the grocery store to buy food and drinks which saved us a ton of money!
Our suite was absolutely amazing, with huge foyer that included mini bar, sink, like a small kitchen space. Off the foyer was the first of 2 bathrooms. This one was smaller and had a shower.
We had a full giving area with large couch that opened to a sleeper sofa.
Another view of the living area that opened up to a beautiful huge patio facing the beach.
Our patio had a couch and a small table and 4 chairs in case you wanted to eat outside.
Our view from our patio was stunning!
The bedroom closed off from the living area and also had a door out to the patio.
And a view of the beach!
The main bathroom was in the bedroom and was huge with open style shower and a large soaking tub and great Remede Spa amenties.
Bottom Line
We found this room set up to be perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 small children.) The suite was about 1295 sq. feet came with a butler who would bring you anything that you required including complememtary coffee in the morning. The amenities in the room were everything that we could have asked for and the finishes were lovely. The size of the suite was perfect for our family, it definitely felt very roomy and the view was the absolute best! This trip was wonderful for our family because it offered ultimate relaxation for the adults and tons of fun for the kids! I highly recommend the property and will review all the activities and hotel amenities in my next post.
