It’s February 1st, meaning it’s the start of the new elite year for new Medallions. Delta is switching things up this year by offering Medallions online drink coupons instead of the four “Have One On Us” coupons that they normally send out.
It appears that these vouchers have not yet been loaded online, but in the next few days check back and you’ll be able to redeem these virtually by logging into Delta.com and choosing “My Delta” then “My Wallet” and then “Vouchers”. You’ll be able to load these up on your mobile phone device and redeem inflight.
Bottom Line
Honestly I’m not too phased by this change. I know several people will start to rant about how this a new devaluation, but with everyone getting more technological advanced, I think this is actually a great idea.
It will be interesting to see down the road, if they make other drink coupons digital, such as the ones that agents give out to customers during flight delays.
