The latest airline incident in the media occurred with Spirit Airlines as a brawl erupts at the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport, after the airline cancelled several flights due to a disagreement with their pilots. Other recent airline incidents included United Airlines Passenger Dragged Off Plane Due To Oversell and Delta Kicks Off Family of 4 from Flight from Hawaii to name a few.

About 300 Spirit flights have been canceled over the past seven days, leaving thousands of passengers angry. The airline says its own pilots are behind the cancellations and is suing them in federal court. Passengers across the country faced hours-long delays and flight cancellations for days. By Monday night, some travelers in Florida had enough.The front ticket counter at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport turned into chaos, and Broward County deputies stepped in to try to restore the peace between passengers and airline employees.

I avoid FLL like the plague. I drive the extra 20 minutes to MIA. The airport is dirty and the economy parking lot is practically in Palm Beach County.
Something about FLL and PBI and Police.
I was flying JetBlue from PBI and as soon as they announced an extensive delay Police were brought in to encourage good behavior.
My sources in NYC tell me the Police behavior was such that they would be disciplined or fired in NYC, PBI police unholstered her weapon to remind passengers that she had a gun to control behavior.
Never flew JetBlue again because they called police to announce a delay.
